EXPLORE: Baguio City during ASEAN | Day 2
It's time to make the most out of Baguio City! But, hey! Did we really make it this day? I DON'T THINK SO!
From Session Road we traveled to the Botanical Garden through a jeepney ride (Baguio Plaza - Mines View V. V.) The line was pretty reasonable so we managed to get into the garden early.
Upon arrival at the Botanical Garden, we have noticed few changes like the arrangement and placement of the souvenir shops and other structures that were placed somewhere before and now they seemed to be out of sight. This gave us that the garden might be under renovation. Well, we hope so!

Since we have already explored the garden before, we didn't linger on the site for long and went straight to the Good Shepherd Convent to have our Mountain Maid pasalubongs. And wow! Surely, this place is a-must, because it took us 2 hours before the cashier attended us for our orders.
Certainly, their well-made Ube jam, Alfajor and Snow Balls will make up for that very lengthy time we allotted for the wait. Plus! Don't forget to take a look at the Shepherd's Gallery to grasp the view of the place and of Baguio.
UNFORTUNATELY, all taxi cabs were taken and we had to line-up again to ride a jeepney. This time, the line is UNREASONABLE, for it took us more than an hour to finally get ahead. On top of that, the temperature in that area is not-so-Baguio, for the sun is smiling very brightly above you.
And it's all because of ASEAN. Yeah, a lot of people joined the bandwagon of having a vacation somewhere and Baguio is very accessible. Well, NCR plated cars invaded the city!
We had our lunch at the very popular cafe in Baguio, Vizco's. I've made a separate post to review the must-visit food places in Baguio and you can check it out here.

Moving forward, since we've got plenty of time on our table but didn't want to go far in fear of not getting in our hotel at the most convenient time possible, we just explored the Burnham Park at night instead.
I can say that the Burnham Park is one of the most instagrammable parks in the Philippines believe me. In addition, it really has that Baguio vibe that you will miss when you go back to Manila or to wherever your home is.
Since we haven't tried the Swan Boat Pedal during the evening this time we grabbed the chance to do so. IT WAS FUN!
Now, before we headed to our place, it is time to have another food trip again-- Solibao's restaurant. Well, my fave dish is their Palabok and I enjoyed their unique beverage which I will explore more in this another story here.
